A Passion for Automobiles Across Generations

At Arnold GM, selling and servicing Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac vehicles is more than a business—it is a passion that has been passed down, renewed, and reinvented through the years.

Arnold GM has always been at the heart of the Saguenay region (Jonquiere, Chicoutimi and Labaie), both through the accessibility of its facilities and the dedication of its employees. Over the years, we have continuously adapted to changing market realities to provide a personalized buying experience where customer relationships and exceptional service always come first.

Our Roots: 1979–2024

The story began in 1979, when Mr. Gilles-Arnold Tremblay founded Arnold GM on St-Dominique Street in Jonquière. Already active in the automotive industry since 1966, he was recognized as a visionary leader, a tireless worker, and a unifying personality. Despite strong competition, he successfully built a solid and highly respected organization.

In 1992, Arnold GM became the largest automotive dealership in the region. During a challenging economic period, Mr. Tremblay made a bold $2 million investment to construct a new, state-of-the-art facility spanning more than 25,000 square feet along Route 170 (Boulevard du Royaume) in Jonquière.

In 2007, he passed the torch to his children, Maxime and Valérie. By then, the company employed nearly 60 people who had witnessed the Arnold family grow alongside the business.

The New Arnold GM: 2024 and Beyond

In 2024, after nearly five decades of family ownership, Valérie and Maxime entrusted the future of Arnold GM to Groupe Amis Juniors, a recognized leader in the sale and service of new and pre-owned vehicles throughout Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean and the Côte-Nord region.

Under the leadership of Jean-Bernard Tremblay, his three children—Cecilia, Charles-Anthony, and Léonard—and a strong, dedicated management team:

• Lynne Breton, Vice President of Finance – Groupe Amis Juniors
• Laurent Vallières, General Manager – Arnold GM

a new chapter of growth and modernization has begun while remaining true to the legacy built since 1979.

The new ownership team has set an ambitious goal: to become the largest automotive dealership in the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region.

Now located at 295 Godbout Street in Saguenay (Jonquière sector), Arnold GM proudly features the largest showroom in the region, allowing customers to shop for their next Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Cadillac, Hummer, or Corvette vehicle in an exceptional environment.

In addition, our dedicated pre-owned vehicle facilities offer an extensive selection of certified used vehicles from a wide range of brands, including Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Cadillac, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, and many more.
